Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is an entheogenic church, and how is it different from a traditional religious or wellness organization?

An entheogenic church centers its spiritual practice on direct experience of the Divine through sacred plant sacraments. While a traditional church may rely mainly on scripture, rules or ritual, we combine reverence, ceremony, and evidence-based insights into how entheogens spark neuro-plasticity and mystical connection. In other words, we use plants to open both the heart and the brain to “living scripture” within.

How does one become a member of Soul Full Bloom, and are there specific requirements or an application process for membership?

Simply complete "Begin your Bloom", meet for a brief Discovery  call, and agree to our Consent, liability and harm-reduction guidelines. Members must be 21 + and willing to engage with the community in a respectful, service-minded way.

Are your sacraments legal, and how does Soul Full Bloom stay within state and federal guidelines?

Yes. We are a 501(c)(3) entheogenic church. Our sacramental use is protected by the First Amendment, the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), and Colorado’s Natural Medicine Act. Sacraments are shared only with registered members, who agree to spiritual use, after signed liability and consent forms are complete. Soul Full Bloom has internal obligations it must follow without exception or default; a board, transparency demonstrating bona-fide spirituality, not trafficking sacrement, satisfying both RFRA and nonprofit rules.

What is the recommended microdosing protocol or schedule for members?

Most members start with 0.05 – 0.2 g (50-500 mg) of dried psilocybin-containing mushrooms (about 1/10–1/20 of a full journey dose). Common schedules are “1 day on / 2 days off” (Fadiman) or “4 days on / 3 days off” (Stamets stack) for 6–8 weeks, followed by a 2- to 4-week rest or 5 days on 2 days off for neuroplasticity, trauma and complex PTSD. . We personalize doses and rhythms to your biology, intention, and lifestyle.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with microdosing your sacraments?

At micro-levels, most people notice subtle mood-lifting and focus. Occasional side effects include temporary fatigue, vivid dreams, or mild anxiety. Higher sensitivity, pregnancy, uncontrolled hypertension, bipolar I, or a history of psychosis are contraindications. We screen for these and provide continuous support.

What kind of guidance and integration support do you provide with a micro- or macro-dose experience?

Every sacrament experience is paired with prep calls, grounding practices, and an integration pathway: group integration calls , one-on-one coaching, somatic tools, journaling prompts, and access to our advisors and coaches when needed. We walk with you before, during, and after each step.

How can I volunteer, collaborate, or otherwise contribute to Soul Full Bloom’s mission?

Reach out to us vis "Contact Us" form. Whether you bring event support, gardening skills, graphic design, or professional expertise, we’ll match your gifts with current needs. Donations of time, talent, or resources are all tax-deductible and help the mission bloom.

What is microdosing, and how does it differ from a full psychedelic experience?

Microdosing = a sub-perceptual amount (≈ 1/20 of a journey dose) taken on a structured schedule to gently tune neural circuits, uplift mood, and heighten creativity—without hallucination or impairment. A macro-dose (aka “journey” or “ceremony dose”) is large enough to produce 4–6 hours of profound sensory, cognitive, and spiritual shifts that often lead to lasting personal insight. Each has its place; both are approached with respect, intention, and science-backed safeguards.

What’s an “entheogen”

An entheogen is simply a plant-based (or naturally-derived) substance—think psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, peyote—that people take on purpose to spark a deep, often mystical, spiritual experience.

Word origin: Coined in 1977 from Greek roots meaning “to realize the divine within.”

Key idea: The substance itself isn’t the focus; it’s the intention behind using it. If you swallow a psychedelic to party, it’s just a psychedelic. If you take it to pray , activate, heal, or meet the Sacred, it’s called an entheogen.

Why it matters?: Used with the right setting with intention, entheogens reliably open the kind of “attunements" or mystical states that have fueled spiritual practices and shamanic ceremonies across cultures for thousands of years.

An entheogen is nature’s tool for turning up the inner volume on your connection to the Divine within that connects all living beings
